Day of Empowerment



Celebrated the encouragement that we give to each other as we enter different challenges in our lives, especially now with the 
unemployment rate as it is.  
On this day, we had 
4 workshops that were FREE 
Social Media and Networking
Learning proper e-mail etiquette.
• Searching for jobs online.
• Writing effective e-mail cover letters. 



Resume Building and Cover-Letter Writing
Tailoring resumes for specific jobs.
• Reviewing examples of effective resumes.
• Learning proper grammar and style for writing, editing, and formatting.




Mock Interviews
Developing confidence.
• Learning effective presentation skills.           
• Receiving helpful feedback.


Business Wardrobe
Creating a professional look.
• Sprucing up an existing wardrobe through cost-effective tips.
• Learning how to tie a professional scarf.
We helped the women feel prepared and gave them tools to feel encouraged & sustained. With a bonus at the end of the day, each woman received a
